On Monday, July 28, 2025, ISO-NE filed a “preliminary answer,” asking FERC to extend the Comment Date from August 14 (which, by FERC regulation, provides for a 20 day comment period) to August 21 in NEPGA’s pending Balancing Ratio complaint proceeding (No. EL25-106), arguing that ISO-NE requires additional time to address the “complexities” of NEPGA’s proposed replacement and in light of competing internal resources dedicated to producing Tariff language for ISO-NE’s prompt capacity market for the August 12-14 NEPOOL Markets Committee meeting. On July 30 NEPGA answered, explaining that it does not oppose ISO-NE’s request but challenging ISO-NE’s characterization of NEPGA’s replacement rate as “complex.”
